Does anyone know how to fix the fps drop issue?
Everytime I play a game (doesn’t matter which game)
I get random fps drops to 5-10 fps which goes on for 5-10 seconds. It switches from the gpu to the cpu (atleast thats what nvidia shows at the top corner)
I have been dealing with this for the past 4 months still can’t fix it.

@Ozan50, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Make Sure You're Running on AC Power
Laptops throttle heavily on battery.
Plug in your charger.
Use a high-wattage HP official charger.
Don’t use USB-C hubs or power banks to charge while gaming.
Set Power Mode to Maximum Performance
Even if you’re plugged in, Windows might be limiting performance.
In Windows:
Go to Settings > System > Power & battery > Additional power settings.
Set to High Performance (or create a custom plan with max CPU and GPU power settings).
BIOS & Chipset Driver Updates
HP Spectre models often push out thermal/power fixes via BIOS updates.
Go to HP Drivers Site.
Search your model (e.g., 14-eu0000).
Update:
BIOS
Intel Chipset
Intel Dynamic Tuning
NVIDIA drivers
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
Check if your hardware is faulty:
Restart > press Esc > press F2 for diagnostics.
Run the System Tests and Thermal Tests.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
