Subject: Warranty claim – SSD SMART “Pred Fail” – OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop – S/N Edited

Dear HP Support,

My OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop is reporting a failing SSD. Windows Storage Health shows “Status: Failed” and “SMART status: Pred Fail” for the internal NVMe WD_BLACK Gen4 SSD (953.86 GB).

Device details:

  • Model: OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop

  • Product Number: 72Y32EA#ABD

  • Serial Number: Edited

  • Processor: Intel Core i9-12900K @ 3.20 GHz

  • Memory: 64 GB DDR4 (4×16 GB Kingston 3200 MHz)

  • OS: Windows 11 Home 64-bit, Version 23H2, Build 22631.5840

  • Warranty: active (07-03-2023 to 08-03-2026)

Issue:
The SSD has failed its SMART self-test (Pred Fail). A predictive failure warning indicates imminent drive failure.

Request:
Please arrange SSD replacement/repair under warranty. Kindly provide RMA/shipping instructions or confirm if on-site service is available. I would prefer to bring it to a service center, as I cannot be without my PC for an extended period.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,
Theo Manders
