tried to restore the laptop to factory settings. An error occurred in the process (I do not remember the number), as a result, the system managed to format the disk, but did not completely post the new files). as a result, now when loading a message about the absence of the operating system. how to restore it. preferably without contacting the service center.

Hi:
If the factory reset failed, the only suggestion I can offer would be to clean install W10 as follows...
To reinstall W10...Use the Media Creation Tool. Make the 64 bit installation media.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.
If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...
- Select Download tool now, and select Run.
- If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
- On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.
- Select which media you want to use:
- USB flash drive. Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.
You can also save the W10 ISO file instead of making the bootable USB flash drive installer, and burn it to a DVD using the tool I zipped up and attached below if you would rather use a DVD to reinstall W10.
Then you can reinstall the drivers and available software from the PC's support page.

If your notebook came with W10 installed by HP, then the license (product key) is in the BIOS.
You do not need the product key to install windows using the method I described.
After W10 is installed and you are connected to the internet, W10 will automatically activate itself.
You won't have to do anything.
All you need to know when you go to install W10 will be what version it is (Home, Pro, Single Language...).
