OMEN X by HP 2S 15-dg0004ns
Microsoft Windows 11

My computer is just 2 years old and it is starting to tell me that one of the two fans has stopped working with error 90B. The thing that if I enter the Hardware diagnostics UEFI it tells me that both fans are working at 40% and 22% capacity.

Do you know if this is an error?

and if it is, how to fix it?

Hello Ferno.

It appears to be a common and very irritating problem with the Omens (the warning) but nothing other than that....

Probably some sensor misbehaving.... 90B is the standard error code HP uses to indicate a CPU fan issue (it appears in both their laptops and desktops). It probably says pump for configurations with a AIO liquid cooler that use the same board. If you're still under warranty you could take it in, but if I were you I'd probably just keep a VERY close eye on temps and fanspeeds with the appopriate monitoring software. You can also unplug and plug back the CPU fan to see if that clears it. It might be a loose connection. Check your temperatures, listen for any abnormal sounds, and check to see if the fan is spinning. That's about it....
