OMEN by HP Laptop 15t-ek100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The fans in my laptop idle at a low speed even during intense gaming resulting in high temperatures. I have tried to use auto thermal control as well as the manual dynamic fan curve but neither works.

I have the same problem with the installation with HP Omen and R9 5900HX processor, the fans do not work, the manual fan curve does not work and the processor finds 100C.

Hi@josh98,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is overheating.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I would like to inform you that 90C is normal on the gaming computer. I recommend you use the Omen command center to change the settings which suit your needs.

Please refer to the below article for more information.

Omen control center isnt working

90c perhaps, but reaching 100c and more while your fan is almost not running is not normal. Having my laptod shutting off because it's overheating is not normal either. The Thermal Control Auto mode does not work and the dynamic fan curve also does not work. Get your **bleep** together HP.

Hi@josh98,Zaurus

Please uninstalled the Omen command center and download it from the  Microsoft stores.

Check with the BIOS update?

check for the windows update?

Check for the graphic drivers,s updates?

Also, update the graphics driver using this link.

You can try updating the drivers on your PC using an HP support assistant.
