Feature Request – Improve Battery Life via BIOS/EC Firmware Optimization (HP OMEN 16-am0001tx

Dear HP Support Team,

I am using an HP OMEN 16-am0001tx with an Intel Core i7-14650HX and RTX 5070 Laptop GPU.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the laptop's performance and build quality. However, I would like to submit a feature request regarding battery life.

During light workloads such as web browsing, online classes, and document editing, the battery life is noticeably shorter than expected. I would appreciate it if your engineering team could further optimize power consumption through future BIOS/EC firmware updates.

Possible areas for optimization include:

• Improved CPU idle power management and C-state optimization.
• More aggressive switching to the integrated GPU during light workloads.
• Better display panel power management.
• Additional low-power optimizations similar to newer OMEN models, where applicable.

I understand that hardware differences exist between models, but any firmware improvements that could reduce idle power consumption would be greatly appreciated.
