Hello all. I use the pavilion 15 gaming laptop. Files keep getting corrupt on a daily basis. I play GTA V online, and everyday I have to verify the files to play the game, which takes about 2 hours. Its not just with game, sometimes my other folders do not open, stating "folder is corrupt", which then gets to normal after "chkdsk". Same happens with GTA V folder.. and after chkdsk, I need to verify again.. for 2 long hours. Sometimes the game goes to "connecting to server" mode and stays that way for long. So as i am forced to restart, the game asks me to verify the files again.
Kindly let me know if you have a solution.

Hardware diagnosis didn't show any error. But the problem still remains.
Also In driver and software page, OS windows 11 is not available for my laptop.
In component test, there is no option to test "fans" and i have faced shutdowns due to over heating.

I currently dont have an ext hard drive. I am going to buy one.. thanks for the information. Will definitely try. Also I have tried reinstalling windows if you mean that.. didn't help.
I needed another help. Regarding the heating.. fans are not starting up.. it did start once during firmware update. But does not work during gaming and heats up to an extent that laptop automatically shuts down.

Update BIOS should fix the fan problem:

All the drivers are for windows 10. My system is running on 11.. should i do the bios and all other driver updates?
Also my schedule has become super tight.. i don't get the chance to sit with my laptop for more than an hour..

You will have to get back to windows 10
There is no warranty for Windows 11 and HP will not be able to help you at this point. There are HP models that are certified for Windows 11 and thus fully tested. Unfortunately, your model is not one of them.
See HP software and drivers are certified for windows 10 only:
