Just recently I got this flashing transparent bar at the bottom of my laptop,it takes up about 1 1/2 inches of my bottom screen.It not my taskbar cause it goes pass it.Can someone tell me what this could be?

`We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to be checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a software issue.
I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.

Heyo!, seems like you may be experiencing a premature dying screen or GPU is dying or driver is acting up. You could also have an old bios too but less likely. How old is your computer it can do with age because laptops don't last as much as old computers? Could you send a picture?
