I'm not sure why my screen is flickering, suddenly freezing, and then returning to normal. What could be the solution? I also don't know if this is caused by the latest Windows 11 update or the BIOS update I performed. I hope you can help me.

Possibly overheating but if the problem showed up after an update then try to go back  by using a restore point.


See if you can identify which category your problem falls in. I also need your product ID if laptop or model name if an external monitor.

Different types of screen problems shown using google images

Card problems show artifacts
Display problems due to backlight failures
General display problem: monitor or GPU
Flickering indicate the driver needs to be updated.

Problems caused by room lighting

Glare is reflections of items: 10 ways to reduce glare
Adaptive lighting problems: brightness auto adjust not working
1 - turn off or on auto adjust
2 - For external monitor try the On Screen Display menu.

Problem with pin 20 of display port cable

Pin 20 problem according to Google.
