Hello, I would like to format the laptop so I will be using the HP recovery manager but the thing is I want it to restore it with the updated drivers and the latest windows update. Is that possible or will it restore it to the stock condition with the old drivers and system?

Thanks

Hi

You could download all the drivers in advance from the HP website onto a USB for instance.

Make a W10 1909 USB and install that, then add in the drivers.

Simple, quick and effective,

Hi, @mzreik

To answer your question, the HP recovery manager will restore your PC's hard drive to its 'out of the box' condition, with the original W10, drivers and software that came with your notebook when you bought it.

The recovery partition does not get updated when you update windows, drivers or install new programs.

Use a free disk imaging tool to create periodic disk images on a portable hard drive, so you can restore your PC to a newer image if necessary instead of factory resetting the PC from then on.

I think this is one of the best tools out there for such a purpose.
