My laptop will freeze and not let me click anything but I can move my mouse around. I've turned it off and back on but this doesn't help. Also when I go to turn it off it just says "There are currently no power options at this time" when I click on the power icon so I have to always use the bottom to shut it down. Any ideas to fix these two problems would be amazing! Thanks.

Hallo @Jess-White
Attention
If you do not change this condition, the notebook/mainboard/components will suffer partial or total damage.
Check your hardware

Recommendation and solution:
In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
- Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges should be renewed
- The function of the fan(s) must be checked
- (Short) circuit test
- General cleaning ...
If your HP warranty is valid, HP Support Technician should do it.
No HP warranty: You should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.
