My screen freezes at when i start the computer. Whatever game or program I run continue to run, but I can't see it.
Most often it is a red screen with vertical white stripes, but sometimes it is just a lot of vertical lines of the colors that where present before.
After a couple of minutes of waiting the screen is always returned, but with a faint shadow imprint of the lines

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the display on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you download and install the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.
https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
If you continue facing the issue, then boot to BIOS from tapping the F10 on the restart and check whether you are able to duplicate the issue in the BIOS screen.
Also, if possible, check with an external display.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi! Thanks for the reply.
I updated the bios driver, but were unable to apply any of the graphics drivers.
However, the problem still persists. I am afraid that it will create some longlasting burnt in image on the screen.
The problem also appears on the BIOS screen. I have not been able to test with an external screen.
I tried to contact hp Sweden, since the computer is still under warranty, but have yet been unable to reach them (I'm constantly redirected to this page)

Thank you for the update.
If the issue persists in the BIOS screen as well then that confirms a hardware issue and I recommend you contact support and check the available service options.
Here is how you can get in touch with support.
1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
Cheers!
