I bought a new Victus15 from Walmart Black Friday sale. Games that did not go as high as native resolution would not go full screen. After a week of searching , I found the solution.
1. Press the Win+R key to open Run and enter regedit.
2. After entering the Registry Editor, click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SYSTEM-ControlSet001->Control->GraphicsDrivers->Configuration
3.Select Configuration, right click to select Find, enter the Find interface, enter "Scaling", and click Find Next.
4. You can see that after finding Scaling, double-click it, change the value to 3, click OK,and you are done. It worked for me!

Hi @Terry-1953,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for sharing your solution! It sounds like you were able to resolve the issue with games not going fullscreen by adjusting a registry setting related to scaling.
For others who might encounter this issue, here's a quick recap of the steps.
- Press Win+R, type regedit to open the Registry Editor.
- Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ ControlSet001\ Control\ GraphicsDrivers\ Configuration - Right-click Configuration, select Find, type "Scaling" and hit Find Next.
- Once "Scaling" is found, double-click it and set its value to 3.
- Click OK, and the issue should be resolved.
This tweak forces the game to scale correctly on your Victus 15 display, even if it’s not the native resolution. Glad it worked for you! Let me know if you encounter any other issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
