Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently bought a new monitor with Free Sync, but only after I had installed it I realised I needed a display port cable to be able to use this Free Sync as G sync on my laptop. My laptop, however, does not have a display port.. port. I have heard that I can not use G sync if i were to use a HDMI to DP adapter because it has to be native DP, but I can't seem to be able to find whether or not I can use my USB 3.1 type C port for an adapter to DP into my monitor to use G sync. Does anyone know if an adapter would work for this?

Here are all the specs of my laptop: https://support.hp.com/si-en/document/c06156446

Hello @03koekje

Pavilions are basically some of HP's more budget line products. They will be more limited in specs than what an Envy, Spectre or Omen will have.

Your laptops USB-C port is limited to USB 3 only. It does not have displayport or thunderbolt wired to it.

In your specs...

Hope that helps explain why.
