this game also lags a lotLaptop Model: HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa1124TX
Operating System: Windows 11
Issue: My GPU usage does not exceed 50% while playing GPU-intensive games like Delta Force and Wuthering Waves, even at medium or high graphics settings. This results in suboptimal gaming performance, such as low frame rates and lag.
Steps Taken:
- Verified GPU specifications using GPU-Z:
- PCIe is running at x8 4.0 instead of x16 4.0.
- Resizable BAR is enabled.
- Installed the latest NVIDIA driver (Version 566.36, released Dec 3, 2024).
- Checked CPU and GPU temperatures, which remain within normal ranges (75–80°C).
Additional Notes:
- CPU usage during gaming consistently reaches 100%, while GPU usage remains at 20–30%.
- No apparent signs of thermal throttling or power delivery issues.
- Game performance:
- Delta Force: 80 FPS on low settings.
- Wuthering Waves: 20 FPS on high settings.
Request:
I’d like to understand whether this issue is due to a hardware limitation, BIOS/driver configuration, or any other factor that might be preventing the GPU from fully utilizing its potential. Please suggest any troubleshooting steps or solutions to resolve this issue.
