I purchased this laptop less than a month ago. This laptop is a replacement for my Dell g3 with a 1060 graphics card. By all accounts, this pc boasts impressive specs and should be very fast. I, unfortunately, have found that not to be the case. Even with using Omen, this laptop is sorely lacking. The main game I play is World of Warcraft which has relatively low requirements and low memory/cpu usage. I experience a severe amount of game lag when running this game, most notably when I also have a browser window open. I didnt have this problem when running my Dell g3. I will note that I am running this game from an external hdd not an ssd but even after copying to my ssd, the problem persists. All of my drivers are up to date as are any windows updates. Another symptom here is that if there is a video in my browser, the image tends to flicker somewhat, especially if i mouse over the event. I know this is a tell tale sign of a display driver issue, but windows insists my driver is up to date and correct.
I am at a loss as to what I should do next. I spent $1000+ on this laptop and it's acting like a $100 purchase off craigslist.
My only other lead is that this pc runs windows 11 which I am not fully convinced is stable yet.
I'm hoping you have some suggestions.
