I have been having this problem when playing games I get random crashes and the only information I get is multiple nvlddmkm errors in the event viewer. This has been happening consistently for a few years now and tried every possible fix or solution I found online and nothing has worked. Some games are worse than others but it seems to be happening in mostly every game I play.
Every driver is up to date and the bios is updated to the latest version suggested from the hp. The only thing I haven't been able to try is disable XMP because HP wont allow for advanced bios settings to be changed.
I am starting to think my GPU might be faulty but that would mean I'd have to get the entire motherboard replaced and my warranty has expired so this would be costly for it to possibly not fix the problem but I have run out of options.
Any help would be appreciated as I now have a gaming laptop I cant play games on.

Hi @Dazman3
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like you've been through a lot trying to resolve this issue—let's see if we can explore some additional options to help with your OMEN 16.1 gaming laptop.
Steps to Troubleshoot the nvlddmkm Error:
Check for Overheating:
Ensure your laptop's cooling system is functioning properly.
Clean the vents and fans to remove dust buildup, and consider using a cooling pad to improve airflow.
Disable XMP Alternative:
While HP doesn't allow advanced BIOS settings, you can try using the OMEN Gaming Hub software.
Some users have reported that it provides limited overclocking options, including RAM adjustments.
Reinstall NVIDIA Drivers:
Perform a clean installation of your NVIDIA drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).
After uninstalling, download the latest drivers directly from NVIDIA's website.
Update Windows:
Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated.
Sometimes, compatibility issues can cause crashes.
Run HP Diagnostics:
Use the built-in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to perform an extensive system test.
This can help identify hardware issues.
