Hi there
Today im having problems with my HP Pavilion Gaming dk0056wm
1650, 8gb 2666/256gb, Win 10.
let me explain:
3 weeks ago i got an msi g271 with 144hz, so i used it normally as always, so today i turned on my laptop and it is giving me less than 100fps on games, so the 144hzs are useless.( yesterday it worked pretty good so, idk what could had happen)
i tried reinstalling drivers, didnt work
resetting nvidia panel, it worked kinda increasing my fps just a little bit
resetting the laptop, nothing either
i tried using it off monitor, only with its screen and it worked good as always, it gave me the fps it usually gives(minecraft as example, 250fps only laptop display/1000fps with the monitor using 144hz) without monitor
(there is something weird i still dont understand about the nvidia card it gave you more fps than ever after connecting an external display)
i read about some issues like this but i didn find a solution so, plsssss help.

Hello there,
You are using the HDMi port of the notebook correct?
You are saying that with minecraft, and using the MSI monitor, you were getting 1000 FPS??
There is no need to have such high frame rate, no benefit after 144Hz, extra work for the GPU, increase of heat, it is not required. Now, you are saying you get less frames, is that something happening with minecraft or with other games is happening the same? What is the screen resolution and graphic quality selected? What is the current BIOS and GPU driver for the NVIDIA card? Make sure you use GeForce Experience and you have the latest version.
Check the GPU temperature, you can use for example GPU-Z and check the sensor tab and verify during gaming how the GPU is being used, but let me know about the games tried, game settings for graphic quality and screen resolution.
