Omen Laptop 17-an100ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my Omen-17 laptop 2 years and used it for work purpose. But during lockdown started testing gaming on it, its specs are

8th gen intel® Core™ i7-8750H

32 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM

2 TB 5400 rpm SATA
256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060

I bought it 2 years ago thinking it would last. But while gaming i realized it cant handle **bleep**. I played Call of duty at the lowest possible setting but the GPu manages to reach 90 degree and cause massive stuttering. If i go by the system spec i should be able to play at high setting but i cant anywhere near to playing the game. I
i tried everything from updating the driver and bios to using undervolting. But still no use. the only thing i havent tried and im trying to find a way to do is change my GPU fan speed. As i have noticed while gaming, the stuttering only happens when the gpu reaches temperature over 87 degrees. whilst the fan speed is just hovering at 150-200rpm, meanwhile the CPU fan has turned into a jet engine..I tried cleaning the fans manually but not much difference was noticed. So i just decided to get another pc for playing. and use this for work. Anyway my warranty has run out and i came back to this for one last try at getting this trash to work. If anyone has a solution that could work please tell. i feel absolutely foolish for spending money on this laptop😠

First, replace the thermal paste on your GPU and CPU...the original is dried out by now and no longer helping it cool properly. I used Kryonaut and it made a huge difference.
