hi everyone i was looking to add 8gig stick of G.SKILL Ripjaws Series to my OMEN by HP - 17-an012dx .

maybe even get 2 stick kit of 2x16gig for totle of 32gigs has anyone used this brand in any omens ?? thanks

If you are replacing the existing ram with 32GB, that GSkill set should work fine. I don't have any way of knowing if a specific model of ram will work, but Ive never had issues with GSkill.

 

If you are only going to add 8 GB, you need to make sure you are matching the timings of the existing memory to ensure compatibility. Its probably not worth the cost for going from 12 to 16 GB.
