HP 17-cn2501sa 17.3" Laptop - Intel® Core™ i5, 512 GB SSD, Silver how can I increase my storage

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook:

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

You can replace the 512 GB NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity, or there is support to install a 2.5" mechanical hard drive/2.5" SSD.

However, the parts are not there to install a 2.5" drive so you would have to find and buy the parts to do that which can be found in chapter 3 of the service manual:

The hard drive cable is available as spare part number M75893-001.

You would also have to figure out a way to mount the hard drive inside the notebook since there is no part number for the caddy, so I recommend you install a larger capacity M.2 NVMe SSD.

The Crucial SSD report for the model series indicates that they sell NVMe SSDs up tot 4 TB in storage capacity.
