Omen 15-dc0084
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So after a windows upate a few weeks ago the bang and olufsen experience part is now greyed out in the output section and the speakers have become tinier. When you play an audio the speakers start out normal but after a few seconds(usually 5) they become tinier while the volume remains at full.

And the software just doesnt launch if any external audio source is connected(wireless speakers as well as wired headphones).

I cant also use any of the hp shortcuts now like the omen key on the numpad or the fn+esc to launch system properties.

Does reinstalling the audio driver make any difference?

sp88578.exe

and HP Utility...

sp88257.exe

As it turns out i needed to install the newest utility pack after reading this from the advisory

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-15-dc0000-laptop-pc/20329817/document/c06175894

The link to download it https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp91501-92000/sp91504.exe

But the audio problem is yet to be solved.

The Omen Key/Home key is a glitch that HP hasnt figured out what to do about it yet.

Did the omen key  work after you installed that sofpaq?

You issue with the audio might be a physical problem if the drivers did not solve it.

I would contact HP Support directly for a warraty issue and see if they know more about this than we do.
