Hello, a few days ago I opened a topic in the HP support community due to driver issues on my computer, and they advised me to format my computer using the HP Recovery Tool. Today, I went and bought a 64GB USB drive. When I started the process, the HP Recovery Tool wouldn't accept my product ID at all, and I couldn't proceed. Please help me.Ekran görüntüsü 2025-03-10 122405.png

Hi:

Why did you hide the product number?

It is not a number that is exclusive to your PC.

It's the serial number that you should not provide.

We can't try and answer your question without knowing the product number of your notebook-including the characters that follow the # sign.

Some of those notebooks come with FreeDOS and not Windows and notebooks that came with FreeDOS are not supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

Hello, I thought the product number was something special, so I hid it. Here it is:
Product Number: 6G0F1EA#AB8
Serial Number: 5CD2333S3V

Yes my notebook came FreeDOS

Hi:

Yes, since your notebook came with FreeDOS, the Cloud recovery tool is not supported.

That only works for Windows PC's because those have the product keys in the PC's BIOS.

So, your only option would be to try clean installing W11 again and reinstall the drivers from your notebook's support page.

I recommended you install W11 24H2, and only install the latest drivers for devices that need them from your notebook's support page.
