Product: HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0071nr

The hing broke and we took it in for repair - they've had it 3 weeks and now say the screen is glued into the cover and will need to replace the screen.  Is this correct?  The screen is glued in?  The video I watched showed stretch release strips, but not sure if that's this model (HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0071nr).  Thanks
