HP OMEN 17. No animation lighting.

Hello guys,

I purchased this laptop recently after watching youtube video reviews on the OMEN series - I was fascinated by the lightning animation and decided to purchase one.

Now I have purchased a HP OMEN 17-an107na in the U.K. and cannot see any animation option when I open the OMEN COMMAND CENTRE.

Help me please :(....

P.s. I already checked the forums but it's info overload.

After opening my OMEN COMMAND CENTRE. This is what I see, please refer to the image below. Is there some update missing?

In the link that REO gave you, it explains what is available in your 4 zone keyboard.

The 4 Zone keyboards dont have "animation", just colored zones. The old Omen 5000 and the Omen X 17 inch series are the only laptops that have actual animation enabled.

I understand now why I don't have this feature, I did have a feeling that I wouldn't have it since the laptop I saw on YouTube review was a HP OMEN X - but 'hoped' I may get it since I did spend quite a bit.

Never mind, I only wish that HP OMEN X was not out of stock on that Black Friday :(.

I also find it a massive disappointment that animated lighting is absent on the new Omen series and I hope they include it in a future update.

There are many cheaper 'gamer' laptops out there that handle RGB lighting better then HP do.

We can only hope that HP will resolve this

Yes, I was also gutted about this. The animation is only for the Omen X models.
