Hi, I want to buy this laptop but I'm not sure which graphic card in it. I can't find a good description on hp's website and I dont know what inside in this laptop. If it has 1070 MAX-Q, is worth it to buy or something different 1660ti like? Sorry for my bad English. I just want to know it has 1070 (Mobile) or 1070 MAX-Q. Please help.

Hello @preloacoder

The 17-an100 uses the full powered GTX 1070. The description would mention Max-q if it was.

Here is your manual... http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06001792

Is that what you needed to know?

You're the best man thank you for this beautiful answer. I want this education, gaming  and  coding because I'm student on university in Comp. Eng. Section. My main reason is battery performance because coding on everytime a day. I see on it 86Wh 8 cell battery and I'm thinking it's go on me a daytime. But 1070 is a old gpu. Maybe buying 1660ti mobile is a smarter choice but I'm really confused. What do you think?

I would have no way of knowing what the actual real time battery longevity will be with either. Technically the 1660ti uses less wattage that the 1070.

But note that the 17-AN100 series does not come with the GTX 1660ti option. That would be a different series and might have a different battery, so I can not really compare energy level availability.

Well, lets leave the battery performance aside. Which one I choose ? HP15-dc0011nt or  HP OMEN 17-an106nt ? I'm really confused. Which one do you prefer?

I really cannot make a decision for you, but I can give you my opinion on which I would prefer if it were me.

But please check your model numbers again. I cannot find an Omen 15-dc0011nt in the HP database.

I'm sorry my mistake model is HP OMEN 15-dc1011nt (6QB35EA). I don't know which one to buy. Is 1660ti better than 1070?

HP Recommended

This is really too subjective because there are some major differences besides the graphics cards.

The older model 1070 uses more power, but has a larger battery.

The newer model 1660ti uses less power, but has a much smaller battery.

So the difference cancels each other out generally speaking. The 1070 is slightly faster.

The older model has 32GB of memory and a 120Hz display panel. 8th gen cpu- a little slower.

The newer model has only 16GB of memory, a 60Hz panel and the newer style Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX 200 card (which you will probably never take advantage of). You only need up to 16GB memory for gaming. 9th gen cpu -  a little faster.

I would look at the price point of each and go for the best value per money based on the hardware.

Its not really a decision I can make since I dont know how much each costs.

Here are the specs...
