I have the Omen AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz and I have had the motherboard replaced under warranty because of black screen crashes. But now the issue has come back. Obviously HP has not modified or fixed the problem with the motherboard design!! Does the latest 2024 Intel i9-14900HX Omen 16 laptop still have Motherboard issues? Has HP re-designed the motherboard to fix this?

Greetings @GQ8
Welcome to the HP Forum.
You had an AMD MB replaced under warranty.
How long did the PC work correctly until the problem recurred?
Was the PC in warranty when the symptom recurred? Did you contact HP again for warranty service?
The second MB may have failed. Or some other component connected to the MB, including a faulty external power brick, may have a problem.
I'm not sure why you are referencing MB issues on an Intel system since you have an AMD system.
You would have to contact HP again or have a local PC Tech take a look.

Hi Bill, Yes, the AMD motherboard was replaced under warranty and the problem returned after about 6 weeks.
I'm asking about the Intel MB if I need to upgrade my Laptop to avoid this issue that seems very common on the Omen 16 laptops.

Greetings @GQ8
Thanks for the additional info.
If the PC was in warranty at the time of the second component failure then HP Support should have done something for you.
A second MB failure, or any other component failure, within six weeks of use after the first MB replacement should be a warranty item.
Did you contact HP after the second failure and was the PC in warranty at the time of the second component failure?
The thing is; different component failures can cause similar symptoms. And crashes are typically random events.
I have no knowledge on the reliability of the Intel MB version of your Laptop.
