It has not even been 2 days since I got this laptop, and here I am, writing in the forums for help already.
The trackpad/touchpad of this Laptop : HP 16-b0000 (472J1AV) becomes laggy every couple of seconds to minutes. It starts as stuttery but then slowly becomes completely irresponsive.
I googled this problem and turns out that this is a well known issue that a lot of users have been talking about since 2021. But it has been more than a year and HP has not done anything about it.
Extremely disappointed at HP's customer service, how can these threads have thousands of views and multiple pages of replies, but HP doesn't do anything?
Please do something about it, I am in Pakistan and it's extremely hard and inconvenient for me to send this laptop abroad for repair.
I strongly believe that it's a software issue, because the problem can be fixed temporarily using FN+F11 to turn the trackpad off and then use it again to turn it back on, but the problem comes back after a few minutes or sometimes seconds.
I have already updated my Windows 11 and even did the bios update.

Turns out it was not a software issue, rather a hardware issue. A reddit user /r/cupcakeman928 posted the fix on HP Omen subreddit. Huge thanks to him for the solution.
The problem was the static electricity build up, which makes the trackpad jittery. Hence, grounding the trackpad/touchpad with a simple trick fixes the issue.
