Is it normal now? 😊😊‌ i tried the second method, but it did not work. 🙃

No, Bitlocker is still enabled.

The padlock icon will be gone from the C: drive after you disable Bitlocker.

The  second option isn't there 🙈

Interesting...my PC had the turn off bitlocker setting on that screen.

OK, see if this works...get your Bitlocker recovery key using the video instructions.

It is a pretty long key.

After you have the Bitlocker recovery key:

  1. Type Command Prompt in the search field on the taskbar.  Right-click on the command prompt app when it appears and select Run as administrator.
  2. After you open the command prompt as administrator, run the below command:
manage-bde -off C:   (there is a space after 'bde' and a space after 'off')
  3. When prompted, type the BitLocker password and press the Enter key.

Once you authenticate with the password, Windows 11 should decrypt the drive and turn off BitLocker.

I've got one more question.
I told the person who first tried to
install my SSD that I was able to get it
To work. He only replied with
“there will soon be a license crash”. What the hell does that mean? 🙃😂

I don't know what the person is talking about.

Your PC has a permanent Windows product key encrypted in the BIOS and as long as you keep the same motherboard, you can install Windows 1,000 times and it will activate every time.

Also, if you used the HP cloud recovery tool to reinstall Windows on the SSD, it would not have worked if your PC didn't have a valid Windows license and product key in the BIOS.

If Windows is currently activated, it will stay that way.

You can download and install the free Showkey Plus app from the Microsoft Store and it will show you the Windows product key that is encrypted in the BIOS and the version of Windows the key is good for.
