OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck0000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi all, I'm having touchpad issues with my new customized HP Omen 17.3. The touchpad will randomly go unresponsive. This can happen while in use, or from notebook wakeup, or bootup. It seems very random. I've checked that my drivers are up-to-date, made sure F11 wasn't turning off my touchpad, etc. Usually when this happens, I will have to reboot my system 2 to 3 times before it kicks back on. Could this be an issue internally, perhaps a cable that's not fully connected? Any tips are appreciated. Thanks!

The updated bios doesn't seem to fix the issue. The trackpad still randomly becomes unresponsive.

Unless HP has shipped out a bad batch of touchpads , many users have this issue so likely software or bios.

the new bios addresses cold weather warnings - why do you think it fixed the trackpad ?
