Omen 17t-ck000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm considering buying an Omen 17t-ck000 and am about ready to make the purchase, but I had some questions about upgrading it since the manual is not that clear.

Am I able to upgrade the storage with a second hard drive, either SSD or SATA? Currently, I am only able to buy it with a single SSD, but I want to upgrade the storage to be more in line with my current laptop. If so, which one can I add, or can I add both (for a total of 3 hard drives). Are the upgrade options (brackets, etc) built-in, or will I need to purchase them separately?

OK, you can order 1TB now and add 1TB or 2TB to slot 2 at a later date. Machine has 2 M.2 PCIe gen 4 slots.

Sounds like you are ordering a CTO machine. Please give us information of your new machine and we can work out from there. In general:

It has 2 M.2 NVMe SSD slot, you can setup as RAID or 2 drives separately. You can have 2 drives max using PCIe gen 4. Adding the second M.2 SSD, you would need a screw and may be heat sink.

STORAGE: I have the following options to choose from:

  • 512 GB Intel® SSD + 32 GB Intel® Optane™ memory
  • 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
  • 1 TB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

It is up to you. All 3 options use same M.2 slot physically. My choice would be 1TB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

I know they'll all use the same slot; I want to ensure I'll be able to both have a 1TB SSD from the factory and be able to mount an additional 1TB/2TB SSD with minimal extra parts.
