OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC IDS Base Models (ArticunoI)

My desktop tower will turn on (lights and fan on) and I get the Bitlocker recovery key prompt, which I complete. Then the Omen logo loading screen comes on for a sec before the screen goes blank and unresponsive. Happening on more than one monitor. I've tried disconnectimg and reconnecting the computer power cable a few times to no effect. Any suggestions?

It sounds like your HP Omen desktop is encountering some boot-up issues after successfully completing the Bitlocker recovery key prompt. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

 

  • Check Connections: Ensure that all cables, including the power cable, monitor cables, and any other peripherals, are securely connected to the computer.
  • Reset Power: Try performing a power cycle by completely shutting down the computer, unplugging the power cable, waiting for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in and restarting the computer.
  • Boot into Safe Mode: Attempt to boot the computer into Safe Mode by pressing the F8 or F10 key repeatedly during startup. Safe Mode loads only the essential drivers and services, which can help isolate if the issue is caused by a problematic driver or software.
  • Check for Hardware Issues: It's possible that there could be a hardware problem causing the issue. You can try reseating components such as RAM sticks, graphics card, and any other expansion cards. Ensure they are firmly seated in their respective slots.
  • Update Drivers and BIOS: Make sure all drivers, including graphics drivers, are up to date. Additionally, check if there are any BIOS updates available for your HP Omen desktop and install them if necessary.
