HP OMEN 15-dc0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I downloaded the BIOS update from HP Support assistance twice already and when it restarts the PC I get an screen that says BIOS Update failed, Unable to open the BIOS image.

Can anyone give any pointers on how to troubleshoot this?

@Mperezra Welcome to HP Forums Community!

There are a few things you need to check:

Go to the HP website and check if there's a BIOS update available for your serial number and install it from the website to check if it works,

If that doesn't work either, I suggest you restart the computer and follow the steps mentioned in this link to recover an older version of BIOS and then try the update from the HP website again.

Let me know how that pans out,
