hp omen 15 dc0051nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I guess this laptop is too new, as I reinstalled windows to get rid of bloatware and cannot find the HP Omen Command Center that was once on the laptop. The one from previous Omens does not work, and the product page for dc00000 did not work either (or it didn't even have it, as I just downloaded everything I needed from there).

Where can I find it, or at least, when will it be online?

Thanks.

All I'm doing to get Omen Command Center back to normal on my laptop (HP Omen dc0079tx nearly identical with dc0051nr with some minor difference)  after perform clean install of Windows 10 (Not using HP recovery manager) are as follow. All HP software I'm download from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/omen-by-hp-15-dc0000-laptop-pc/20329817

1. Download and install Omen Command Center from Microsoft Store.

2.Download and install "HP System Event Utility" see this program is need in other Omen Command Center troubleshoot thread before so maybe this help too and don't think there any problem to not install this.

3. Then download and install "OMEN Command Center SDK Package 1.0.5 Rev.A"  I'm choose 1st option when install window pop up with 2 choice to choose and when finished try to launch Omen Command Center and hope for it to work flawlessly for you with out any problem."

I think the key for me is downloading the CC on the Windows Store.

HEllo @Briiii

Ya I have already logged a query with HP on the missing model info for the Omen dc series. Im waiting for an answer and dont know when that will be. Hopefully early next week.

In the mean time Ill see what I can find and let you know when I do.

Great, thank you so much!

Honestly, I probably should have waited until that went live before reinstalling Windows but the random pop-ups from bloatware annoyed me. Is it even possible to save the software on a USB drive and transfer it that way? There has to be a useable workaround in case this happens again.

Unless you used the clean install method with an ISO from Microsoft directly...

you can make an HP USB Recovery Media drive and it will return the entire disk back to factory settings.

If you wiped the drive using the Microsoft ISO, you lost the ability to create the HP recovery.

You can order a new HP Recovery drive but it will cost a few coins.

Since I cannot bring up your models full page of info right now for the order form, you would have to simply contact HP support directly.

Heres the link if you want it...

If you did not use the Microsoft ISO method, rather you used the F11 method, you would still be able to create an HP Recovery drive.

Let me know which method you used to install Windows with. There is a way to make the OCC install and then you should be able to overclock with it.

Thanks for the help, it's fine, I'll just wait for HP to create a product page for this laptop, I don't want all the bloatware again. I only need this new version of the CC really so I'll survive.

I'm face to same problem now too after perform clean install of Windows 10 with ISO file from Microsoft not the recovery one from HP (Yeah because I want to get rid of all those bloatware too : P

My model is "OMEN by HP - 15-dc0079tx" which is the same model but with 144hz display panel sell in Thailand.

Try to download "OMEN Command Center SDK Package 1.0.5 Rev.A" from driver download page here "https://support.hp.com/my-en/drivers/selfservice/omen-by-hp-15-dc0000-laptop-pc/20329817" but after finished install noting happen no Omen command center or anything install on my laptop.

Now I'm struggle with unable to change RGB color of my keyboard and other feature like switch performance mode.

Hope HP will upload new OMEN command center that support all these Omen new model soon.
