OMEN Laptop - 15-en0023dx
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Omen Laptop 15 from 2020 and within the last two weeks the fans have stopped working. This seems to be an Omen Gaming Hub issue as I downloaded a third party control and the fans will spin up so they are not dead. For more information, I cannot sign into Gaming Hub anymore either, it seems completely broken.

Any help getting Omen Gaming Hub to work again with this gen of Omen Laptops? Of course HP won't let me contact their actual support for free

@radioactivegoat, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Based on your issue with the OMEN Gaming Hub not working and the fans not spinning unless controlled by third-party software, here are the steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue on your OMEN Laptop - 15-en0023dx running Windows 11:

Perform a Power Reset

This clears any residual power and resets hardware states:

  • Shut down your laptop.
  • Unplug the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then plug the adapter back in and power on.

Uninstall and Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub

Corrupted installations can cause fan and login issues.

To uninstall:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Find OMEN Gaming Hub, click the three dots, and select Uninstall.

To reinstall:

  • Download the latest version from the Microsoft Store.
  • Restart your laptop after installation.

Update BIOS and Drivers

Outdated firmware can interfere with fan control and software functionality.

  • Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your product: OMEN Laptop - 15-en0023dx.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS, chipset, and thermal/fan control drivers.
  • Also, ensure Windows is fully updated via Settings > Windows Update.

Reset OMEN Gaming Hub Settings (if accessible)

If you can open the app but not log in:

  • Try launching it as Administrator.
  • Go to Settings > Reset App (if available).
  • Clear cache and saved profiles.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
