I Have the HP OMEN 15ce0xx laptop and as with my other PC's, I like to run Kaspersky 18 Rescue disk to check for virus and malware periodically. I find that I cannot boot from the OSB flash drive that works on all of my other systems. I have seen on this site and on others that this seems to be a common problem with the OMEN. The fact that there seems to be a conflicting fix on this site and others is neither here nor there, surely this is a problem that should be resolved by HP not by forum members and other helpful people on the internet. I have even seen suggestions to download registry repair utilities that wil "fux" your system for you. Is there an HP resolution for this problem or not, the very fact that the OMEN laptop does not have a CD/DVD drive inbuilt makes it more vulnerable to crashes or ransom software and no way to recover from them?

Hello @Kerdevan
I don't know that I can give you the answer you want, but I will offer what I can.
I've seen this asked rarely but have not found it to be a common problem. No solution has ever been made for this situation if that is what you are really asking and Ive been on the forum for many years now.
Not knowing any information about what you have going on so far, all I can do is offer some basic suggestions.
I assume you've tried the bios Legacy mode and disabling Secure Boot, correct?
I have seen in some "rare" cases that sometimes an HP Bios might not like a certain USB drive for an unknown reason and swapping a different drive fixes the problem. Have you tried that option yet?
