HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1000 Laptop PC (9EK36AV)

So I have tried the 15 second option without AC, then with AC. And it doesn't work.

I also tried pressing esc but nothing happened, as well as Windows+B and F11. Nothing happens, just black screen.

I had this problem like 10 days ago and the 15 second thing worked but now it doesn't and Im really not able to pay a full repair to a technician. Please help me guys!

Hi @Daniel_Achury

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1000 Laptop PC, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1000 laptop. From your description, it sounds like you're dealing with a black screen issue, and you've already tried some troubleshooting steps like performing the 15-second reset and pressing escape, Windows+B, and F11 without success. Here are some additional steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

1. Perform a Hard Reset (Without AC Power and Battery)

  1. Power off the laptop completely.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. This will drain any residual power.
  3. Reconnect the AC power and insert the battery back (if applicable).
  4. Power on the laptop and check if it boots.

2. Check the Display Brightness

  • Use the brightness keys (usually F2 or F3 on HP laptops) to increase the brightness, as the display might be turned down all the way.

3. External Monitor Test

  • If you see an image on the external monitor, then the issue is likely with the laptop’s built-in display or its connection to the motherboard.
  • If the external monitor shows a black screen as well, the issue may be with your laptop's motherboard, RAM, or power supply.

4. BIOS Recovery

  • Since you're already aware of the Windows+B + Power combo (for BIOS recovery), and it hasn’t worked, let’s try this sequence again carefully:
    1. Power off the laptop.
    2. Hold the Windows + B keys together (keep holding them).
    3. Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds while still holding the Windows + B keys.
    4. Release the power button, but keep holding the Windows + B keys until you hear a series of beeps or see the HP logo (this means it’s trying to start the BIOS recovery).
    5. If this method works, follow the on-screen instructions to perform a recovery.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Raj, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this was the same options the virtual assistant and the manuals gave me, and as I specified on my post, the Windows + B command does not work or produce any kind of sounds nor flashing lights. Only my power button lights on when I press it and off when I press it more than 5 seconds.
