HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx Hinge Broken - apparently very common for hp laptops
02-20-2021 04:49 PM

I have had a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx for roughly 2 years now. I have never had a problem with any other brands of laptop and damage not caused by myself. My laptops normally last 4-5 years, so after only 2 years the hinge breaking on this laptop is not acceptable. I have seen many complaints about hp laptops and hinges breaking, and also complaints by customers stating hp knows about these faults and does nothing to stop them from happening. I rely on my laptop for every day work. I cannot send it away to get repaired. Nor should I have to pay for damage which is clearly a design fault. If I do not get a reply on this platform from hp I will be contacting customer services and asking to speak to a supervisor to get this dealt with quickly.
Thank you

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
- Could you please share the picture of the hinge assembly?
Keep me posted for further assistance.
