I need help figuring out what kind of docking station I need to buy for this laptop. Since it doesn't support Thunderbolt 3 or 4, will a USB-C docking station work?
I'm wanting to be able to plug into a dock and use an external monitor as my display instead of using my laptop screen.
Any help here would be great. Thank you.

Its specs
https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c06902418
It has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port which allows you to connect to an USB-C dock but you ONLY need to use one external monitor why not use 1 HDMI 2.0 port ?
You can use external monitor and close the lid. Please allow external monitor as MAIN. You still need to open the lid when power up your machine.
Regards.

@Banhien
Thank you for your reply!
The main reason I don't just use the ports on the laptop is because of availability and space.
I use my home office for work (work laptop) and play (personal laptop), so I have USB-C style docks available to take home if I want to and I have two new curved monitors available to me as well.
Being compatible with USB-C means that there's less changing I need to do with my setup when I swap from my work laptop to my personal laptop. And the less shuffling of equipment that I do, the better.
