Hello all,
I am having issues with my HP Truevision HD integrated Webcam. A couple of years ago it stopped working. I have recently tried to dig in to find the issue but I'm a bit lost. The device manager is not finding any webcam. I have tried going to the HP support page to download the driver from there but there is none listed for the Truevision (also, my Windows 10 is 22H2 which is not an option on the website anyway). There is no webcam security switch to turn off or on. I have checked that privacy settings and malware are not blocking the camera. I am using an Omen 15 dh 100. I would greatly appreciate anybody that could direct me to where to find the driver.

Hi @coltonhuckaby,
Find the next set of steps below.
5. Use Windows Update
- Open Settings: Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Update & Security: Go to "Update & Security."
- Check for Updates: Click on "Check for updates" and install any available updates.
6. Reinstall Camera Driver
- Uninstall Camera Driver: If the camera is visible in Device Manager, right-click on it and select "Uninstall device."
- Restart: Restart your laptop to let Windows reinstall the camera driver automatically.
7. Check Camera Privacy Settings
- Open Settings: Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Privacy: Go to "Privacy" and then "Camera."
- Allow Camera Access: Ensure that the "Allow apps to access your camera" toggle is turned on.
8. HP Support Assistant
- Download HP Support Assistant: If not already installed, download it from the HP Support Assistant page.
- Run HP Support Assistant: Use it to check for any missing drivers or updates for your laptop.
9. Reinstall Windows
If all else fails, consider performing a clean installation of Windows. This can resolve any driver conflicts or issues caused by corrupted system files. Make sure to back up your data before proceeding.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may indicate a hardware problem with the camera itself. In that case, contact HP Phone Support for service options.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you, I didn't realize there was a show hidden driver option. Once I enabled it I found the driver. Surprisingly it was not under imaging device nor camera. I forget which category it was but I found it easy enough. Once I updated and restarted the camera worked! Thanks again!
