My son's gaming laptop caught on fire tonight!  He's had the HP - Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7-12650H since December of 2022 & the warranty expired earlier this year but I never expected this! His battery started to smell and then started smoking and swelling and caught on fire.  It was burning on the top & bottom and his wooden desk started to burn as well so we took it outside & poured clean water on it as we were worried it would get worse.

 

Just wanted to someone to know!

Thank you for responding as I spent a few hours trying to reach someone from HP support to no avail last night.
