Victus by HP Laptop 16-d0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The battery slowly drains while gaming under performance mode even though I'm plugged in. In a 2 hour session the battery drains about 40%. I noticed it while playing fortnite and it started a couple of days ago. I bought it about 12 days ago and  I don't think it behaved like this from the beginning as I was monitoring the battery and I would have noticed it. I ran the UEFI Hardware Diagnostics and it didn't find anything wrong and the drivers should be up to date. Is this normal behaviuor? I'm thinking about returning it.

HP Victus 16-d0xxx i5 11th, RTX 3060

Thanks in advance!

I just bought the same laptop and I'm also having battery problems. Mainly how windows reports the current charge. For example, it'll show as 90% charged, but it never moves from there even during regular use, and charger disconnected. Then some time after, the laptop will completely shut off with no warning because the battery is drained. It doesn't even go into battery save mode because windows thinks it is actually 93% charged. Now reading the problem you're having, I'm convinced that I need to return this laptop. I don't even think I want to exchange it.

HP Omen 15 Ryzen 9 5900HX, RTX 3070 MAXQ I'm the owner, my battery usually discharges about 10% while playing games.
This is a problem and will cause the battery to wear out quickly, the 200W original adapter will not provide enough power.
I'm using it with an external 32" monitor, the notebook's own screen is off, the keyboard backlight is off, my computer is in balanced mode but still the adapter does not provide enough power, stay away from HP and compare the computer configuration you will get with other brands. Other brands 250 for similar hardware -It sells with a 300W adapter, but HP stupidly put a 200W adapter and that's not enough.
