My HP Victus 15 Gaming Laptop, 15.6" FHD 144Hz Display, AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB PCIe M.2 SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 went to a blue screen suddenly the other day, I tried to shut down and boot back up but I got a notice saying auto repair is in progress, then a notice that auto repair could not repair my computer. I have not been able to boot the pc in safe mode and every time I try to factory reset my pc as a last resort I get a notification saying that the reset failed, that’s with personal files saved and with a total wipe. I bought the thing brand new on the 16th of July, my warranty went out on the 19th of April, only 5 damned days ago. Is there any way for me to fix this before I should bite the bullet and spend $130 to buy an extra year of warranty? Any help is much appreciated, bear in mind I don’t know jack about PCs.

Hi @JosephM3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting a BSOD Error on the HP Victus 15 Gaming Laptop, 15.6", and the repair is failing. Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing,

Before we proceed further, please try to run a hardware test on the Pc and let us know the result so we can help you better in solving the issue.

Extensive Test

1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
4. Click Extensive Test.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
