Hi @Hovex,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If HP's web product detection tool is not working for you, you can still manually check and update your drivers on an HP Omen gaming laptop. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you.
Identify Your Laptop Model:
- You can usually find your laptop's model number on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop.
- Alternatively, you can right-click on the "This PC" or "My Computer" icon on your desktop or in File Explorer, select "Properties," and the model information should be listed there.
Visit the HP Support Website:
- Go to the official HP Support website (https://support.hp.com/).
Enter Your Laptop Model:
- Enter your laptop's model number in the search bar on the HP Support website and press Enter.
Select Your Operating System:
- You will be prompted to select your operating system. Choose the one currently installed on your laptop (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11).
Download and Install Drivers:
- Once you've selected your operating system, you should see a list of available drivers and software updates for your laptop.
- Look for the drivers that you want to update, such as graphics drivers, audio drivers, or network drivers.
- Click on each driver to see more details and whether an update is available. If an update is available, there will typically be a "Download" button next to it.
Download and Install Updates:
- Click on the "Download" button for each driver or software update you want to install.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the updates.
Restart Your Laptop:
- After updating the drivers, it's a good practice to restart your laptop to ensure that the changes take effect.
Verify Driver Installation:
- To verify that the drivers have been updated, you can go to "Device Manager" by right-clicking on the "Start" button and selecting "Device Manager." Check the driver versions listed under the relevant hardware categories (e.g., "Display adapters" for graphics drivers).
By following these steps, you should be able to manually update your HP Omen gaming laptop's drivers even if the HP web product detection tool is not working. Keep in mind that it's important to periodically check for driver updates to ensure your laptop runs smoothly and efficiently, especially for gaming purposes.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
