The hall sensor issue in my HP Victus laptop is a well-documented and widespread problem among HP users, which clearly indicates a manufacturing defect. Since the hall sensor directly impacts the functionality of the laptop lid, its failure cannot be dismissed as user negligence or normal wear. As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (Sections 2(10), 2(34), and 2(47)), manufacturers are liable for product defects, deficiency in service, and unfair trade practices. If HP refuses to acknowledge this defect and provide a free replacement/repair, I will be left with no choice but to initiate a formal complaint with the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (CDRC) and pursue legal action.
