The camera is not working. And accidentally deleted the camera driver from Device Manager. Now I don't know how to return it. I tried to go to the official website of the HP software and drivers, but there was no software and camera driver that was compatible with my device. pls anyone help me
We can't find your camera.
The error code: 0xA00F4244
My device:
Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa1312T9
and why are there no drivers available on the official HP support website that are compatible with my laptop?
Where can I install camera drivers?
What is the solution?

The camera driver may not be listed separately on HP’s support page because Windows can use a built-in UVC camera driver. Since it was deleted from Device Manager, I’d first open Device Manager and check under Cameras, Imaging devices, and Other devices, then use Action > Scan for hardware changes. Also check Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates for a camera driver.
If the camera still doesn’t appear, install the latest chipset and BIOS updates from HP for the exact Victus 15-fa1312T9, then restart and check Device Manager again. You can also check Settings > Privacy & security > Camera and make sure camera access is enabled. If there is still no camera device at all after a hardware scan, I’d run HP Hardware Diagnostics, since 0xA00F4244 usually means Windows isn’t detecting the camera rather than simply having the wrong Camera app setting.

Thank you for the detailed suggestions. I have already gone through all of these troubleshooting steps, but unfortunately the issue still persists.
I have already:
- Checked Device Manager under Cameras, Imaging Devices, and Other Devices, including View → Show hidden devices.
- Removed/uninstalled the previously detected/hidden camera device, but Windows did not reinstall it automatically.
- Used Action → Scan for hardware changes multiple times.
- Checked Windows Update → Advanced options → Optional updates, and there was no relevant camera driver available.
- Checked Settings → Privacy & security → Camera and verified that camera access is enabled.
- Installed/checked the latest available HP BIOS and chipset updates for my exact model.
- Restarted the laptop several times after these changes.
- Run HP Hardware Diagnostics as well. However, there was no specific webcam/camera test available there.
The important point is that the camera is not consistently detected by Windows at the hardware/Device Manager level. In fact, the camera has appeared/worked temporarily before, but then disappeared again on its own. This makes it unlikely to be simply a Camera app or privacy-setting issue.
My exact laptop model is HP Victus 15-fa1312TX (SKU: 9X3L6PA#ACJ).
Could you please advise me on the next hardware-level troubleshooting step? Specifically, I would like to know whether this could be related to the internal webcam cable/module, motherboard connection, BIOS/firmware, or another hardware detection issue.
