Hi @Harsh170 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Victus laptop's inbuilt camera driver missing, you can follow these steps:

Step 1: Check for Windows Updates

Sometimes, the latest drivers are included in Windows updates.

  1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  2. Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
  3. Restart your computer and see if the camera driver is installed automatically.

Step 2: Manually Install Camera Driver

Option 1: Use HP Support Assistant

HP Support Assistant can automatically find and install the correct drivers.

  1. Download and install HP Support Assistant from the HP official website.
  2. Open HP Support Assistant and check for updates and messages.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install any available camera driver updates.

Option 2: Download from HP Website

  1. Go to the HP Software and Drivers page.
  2. Enter your laptop model (Victus By HP Gaming Laptop 15-Fa0000) and select your operating system (Windows 11).
  3. Look for the camera driver in the list of available drivers and download it.
  4. Install the downloaded driver and restart your computer.

Step 3: Use Device Manager

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  2. In Device Manager, click on Action > Scan for hardware changes.
  3. If the camera driver is not found, right-click on the Camera category (or Imaging devices if it appears) and select Update driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Step 4: Generic Camera Driver

If the specific driver for your camera is not available, you can try installing the generic driver provided by Microsoft.

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Right-click on the camera device (if it appears) and select Update driver.
  3. Choose Browse my computer for drivers.
  4. Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
  5. Select the USB Video Device and click Next to install it.

Step 5: Reset Windows Camera App

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  2. Find and click on the Camera app.
  3. Click Advanced options.
  4. Scroll down and click Reset.

Step 6: Reinstall Windows

If none of the above steps work, you may consider reinstalling Windows 11 to restore the camera functionality. Make sure to back up your data before proceeding with a reinstallation.
