I have Victus 16 Gaming Notebook

I think my problem is hardware related. We did whatever was necessary with HP Support in terms of software, we deleted Windows and installed it and updated the BIOS, but my computer is still putting itself to sleep and the hall sensor problem, which is a chronic problem, continues.

Hi @Tugbaatascii,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We truly understand how disheartening it can be when your Victus 16 Gaming Notebook, a powerful machine built for performance, starts putting itself to sleep unexpectedly, especially after you've already worked closely with our support team and tried all recommended software solutions.

Understanding the Issue

From what you've described, it appears your notebook may be experiencing a hardware-level hall sensor malfunction. The hall sensor is responsible for detecting whether the lid is open or closed. If it becomes overly sensitive or faulty, it can mistakenly signal the system to enter sleep mode even when the lid is fully open.

This is not a software issue, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and persistence in updating the BIOS and reinstalling Windows.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
