HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0812no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello, I recently bought an HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0812no, which comes with just an 256gb ssd drive, so I want to add a conventional hard drive for storage.
Other variants of the same model come with both ssd and hhd, so I guess there is a port available. My question is, do I need to buy a hard drive bracket and connection cable, or are these already in the case?
Any help is appreciated, I couldn't find any information on this, and would like to find out before opening up my new laptop.

Hello @Eroyne,

Yes, it looks like you need the hard drive bracket and cable:

Hard drive bracket L20325-001

Hard drive cable L20324-001

They will most likely not be there.

Steps to the installation of the hard drive are located on pages 47-48 of your computer's Maintenance and Service Guide.

Hope this helps,

Eddy
