The dc0022na Omen laptop came with one 16gb memory Ram installed (SoDIMM, 16GB, DDR4-2666, Samsung C die) Part Number - 932818-971.
I wanted to add one more 16gb memory module to the empty RAM slot to make it dual channel. I could not find the above part number anywhere online or from HP support as well.
Searching on https://uk.crucial.com/ gave me two options:
https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/hp-omen-15-%28models-15-dc0000---dc0999%29/CT12477014
https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/hp-omen-15-%28models-15-dc0000---dc0999%29/CT12477051
Would either/both of these be compatible with the existing 16gb installed ram in the omen and will adding one of these be sufficient to make it dual channel?
Anyone already done this on their Omen/ any thoughts-advice would be great. Thanks

@Wins20 , welcome to the forum.
I suggest that you install CUP-Z to check the brand and timings of the existing memory. You will find this information in the "SPD" tab. Then, you can contact Crucial's Tech Support to make certain their memory will be compatible. This will save you time, money and frustration.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

Thank you for the additional information, @Wins20 !
Now, if you go to the tab "Memory" in CPU-Z, it will tell you the exact timings. For my HP loaner Omen it is the JEDEC #8 column. Also, as you can see, your memory was made by Samsung. There are only three major memory chip manufacturers, Micron (Crucial is their sales branch), SK Hynix and Samsung. Samsung is normally regarded as the best. Now, you can use this information to assure that you get the correct memory.
Since the motherboard has Dual channel architecture, it is always best to install the memory in pairs to assure that you get the best performance. This is why I suggested that you contact Crucial's Tech Support to see what they have to say about their memory being compatible with your existing memory.

I did speak to Crucial, they were quite helpful. Below is the transcript.
Me (2/21/2019, 3:23:18 PM): Hi Noelle, I am interested in purchasing compatible 16gb ram module for my HP Omen dc0022na laptop
Me (2/21/2019, 3:24:08 PM): as per CPU-Z there is one 16gb module already installed, manufactured by samsung and the part number is M471A2K43CB1-CTD
Me (2/21/2019, 3:24:29 PM): I wanted to buy another similar module to make the setup dual channel
Noelle R (2/21/2019, 3:24:31 PM): Hello! Thank you for chatting in today. I would be happy to look into this for you.
Me (2/21/2019, 3:25:37 PM): I wonder if the following would be compatible or did any user get any errors
Me (2/21/2019, 3:25:38 PM): Crucial 16GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM CT16G4SFD8266/ Ballistix Sport LT 16GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM BLS16G4S26BFSD
Noelle R (2/21/2019, 3:26:41 PM): We should be able to find a part that would work alongside the current parts. If the parts don't work together for any reason, we have a 45 day money back guarantee of compatibility for refunds. The chance our Crucial modules not working alongside other modules is small. However, our Ballistix modules will not work with any other brands. That part is compatible with your system though. The following link has all the compatible parts.
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/hp-omen-15-dc0022na
Me (2/21/2019, 3:27:51 PM): ok then i can buy either crucial or ballistix and they will work with existing samsung module to make it dual channel?
Noelle R (2/21/2019, 3:29:51 PM): We wouldn't be able to guarantee that the Crucial would work, however it should. The Ballistix is a completely different issue. It will only work with other Ballistix modules.
Me (2/21/2019, 3:30:34 PM): oh ok, so best bet is buy crucial 16gb and hope it works with existing samsung 16gb
Noelle R (2/21/2019, 3:31:42 PM): That is the easiest way, yes. Crucial has an awesome return policy extending 45 days from the day your order ships out. Within that 45 days, you may return the items for a full refund from anything to simply changing your mind, or experiencing any sort of issues. Returns can be done on our website, email, or phones and only take a few minutes.
Me (2/21/2019, 3:32:20 PM): ok thats good
Me (2/21/2019, 3:32:27 PM): thanks so much for your help
So, best to go for either Crucial at 110£ or the Original Samsung installed in Omen which is about 150£
